Printing and playing
- Print the cards at Actual size (100%). Card of about 160–200 gsm survives a few games; laminate them to play again with a dry-wipe pen.
- Cut on the dashed lines. Keep the caller’s sheet for yourself.
- Call words or numbers at random and tick them off; the first player with a full line — across, down or diagonal — shouts “Bingo!”
- Check the claim against the caller’s sheet. The card number and set number are printed under each card.
Keeps these settings in the link. Useful for moving from a phone to the computer with the printer on it.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make bingo cards with my own words?
Choose "Your own words", paste the list — one word or phrase per line, or comma-separated — and give the game a title. Choose the grid, how many cards and how many to a page, then download the PDF. Every card mixes the words differently, and the last page is the caller's sheet with every word to tick off or cut apart and draw from a hat.
How many words do I need for a bingo card?
3 × 3: 8 with a free centre, 9 without; 4 × 4: 16; 5 × 5: 24 with a free centre, 25 without. More words than that is better: each card then uses a different selection, so the cards do not all fill up at the same pace. With 40 words on a 5 × 5 card, any two cards share only part of their words.
What is the difference between 75-ball and 90-ball bingo?
75-ball is the US game: a 5 × 5 card headed B-I-N-G-O, the B column holding 1–15, I 16–30, N 31–45 with a free centre, G 46–60 and O 61–75. 90-ball is the UK game: a ticket of 3 rows and 9 columns with 15 numbers, five in each row, the first column holding 1–9, the second 10–19 and so on to 80–90 in the last. Both are here, laid out by those rules.
Are all the bingo cards different?
Yes. Every card in a set is checked against the others and drawn again if it repeats. There are 552,446,474,061,128,648,601,600,000 different 75-ball cards, so repeats are not a practical concern there; with word cards the number depends on how many words you give.
What is the set number on each card?
The cards come from that number: the same settings and the same set number give the same cards again, so you can reprint card 7 if one is spoiled. Each card also carries its number, "Card 7 of 30". Choose "New set" for a different shuffle.
How many bingo cards fit on a page?
One, two or four 5 × 5 cards to an A4 or Letter page, and three or six 90-ball tickets. Two to a page gives cards about the size of a postcard, large enough for children and for marking with counters; four to a page saves paper for a large group. Dashed lines show where to cut.
Can I make Christmas, classroom or baby shower bingo?
Yes — it is the same tool with your own list: Christmas words, the week's spelling words or a times-table answer for each cell, guests' names, or what a baby will need. The preview starts with a winter list so you can see a full card before typing yours.
Are my words sent anywhere?
No. The cards are drawn in your browser and nothing is uploaded. A link made with "Continue on another device" carries the settings and the set number, never the words or the title.
