A register for a month, ready to fill in

Each school day of the month gets its own column, with the weekday letter over the date, so a Monday is easy to find when you take the register. Weekends are left out unless you choose every day of the month, and with a country chosen its public holidays that month are shaded and named at the foot of the sheet. Up to 30 names fit on a page; a longer list carries on to a second page with the same columns, and every page has the same number of rows.

Sign-in sheets for clubs, courses and meetings

Blank date columns make a sign-in register for anything that does not meet every school day: a weekly club, a training course, a volunteer rota. Write the date at the top of each column as you go. For a whole term, print a sheet a month and keep them together in a ring binder.

Printing it the right size

The PDF is landscape A4 or US Letter. Print it at Actual size or 100%: “Fit to page” shrinks the boxes a little and shifts the margins. Need a calendar for the same month? The printable calendar uses the same holidays, and the habit tracker is the same grid for daily habits.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make an attendance sheet for my class?

Choose the month, paste your class list into Names (one name per line, or a column copied from a spreadsheet) and type the class name for the heading. The sheet has a column for every school day of the month, Monday to Friday, with the weekday over each date, and Present and Absent columns to total at the end. Print it at Actual size on A4 or US Letter, landscape. A class of more than 30 continues on a second page with the same columns.

Can it mark public holidays and weekends?

Yes. Choose a country under Public holidays and its holidays that month are shaded on the sheet and named at the foot — the US federal holidays, Canada’s, the UK bank holidays, Australia’s, France’s, Belgium’s or Germany’s. With Every day of the month, Saturdays and Sundays are shaded too; with School days only they are left out altogether.

What do P, A, L and E stand for?

Present, Absent, Late and Excused, the usual register marks; the key is printed at the foot of every sheet. Use your school’s own codes if it has them — the boxes are blank — and count the Ps and As into the two total columns at the end of the month.

Is there a sign-in sheet for meetings or a club that does not meet every day?

Choose Blank date columns: the sheet has as many empty columns as you choose, from 5 to 31, with room at the top of each to write the date of the session. It suits a weekly club, a training course or a volunteer rota, where the dates are not every school day.

Are the names I paste uploaded or saved?

No. The sheet is drawn in your browser and the names go only into the PDF you download. They are not sent anywhere, not stored, and not included in the link from “Continue on another device”, which carries only the month and the settings.
