A month at a glance

Every day of the month has a box on each habit’s row, with the weekday letter over the date, so a missed Monday stands out. Weekends are shaded if you like, the Done column at the end counts the month, and the twelve-month version gives you a page to start each month on. A habit you keep ten days running is easy to see; so is the one you keep skipping.

Keep it short

Five to ten habits are easier to keep up than twenty. Make each one something you can tick in a moment — “read 20 minutes”, not “read more” — and put the page where you will see it every day: on the fridge, on the desk, or in the front of a planner. For the planner itself, the printable calendar makes weekly and daily pages at A5, and the dot grid generator the pages in between.

Frequently asked questions

How do I use a printable habit tracker?

Write one habit on each row — or type them here before you print — and each day you keep it, tick or colour that day’s box. At the end of the month, count the boxes and write the number in the Done column. The row of colour shows at a glance which habits are sticking and which days of the week you miss.

Can I print a habit tracker for the whole year?

Yes. Choose 12 months and the PDF has a page for every month from the one you start at, each with the right number of days and the weekday over each date. Start in January for the calendar year, or in the month you begin — a habit tracker does not have to wait for New Year.

How many habits fit on one page?

Up to 30. With fewer habits the rows are taller, up to 12 mm, so there is room to colour the boxes in; with more they get shorter. Most people track five to ten — the ones that matter most — rather than every good intention at once.

Will it fit my planner or bullet journal?

Choose portrait to stick it into an A4 or Letter binder, or landscape for a wall or the fridge. For an A5 planner, print the A4 page at 70% or use two pages per sheet in the print dialog: the grid scales down evenly. The days are a uniform size, so the page also works as a template to copy into a dotted notebook.

Are my habits stored or sent anywhere?

No. The tracker is drawn in your browser; what you type goes only into the PDF you download. It is not stored, not sent, and not part of the link from “Continue on another device”, which carries only the month and the settings.
